Our team on the ground identifies households facing sustained hardship. Distributions are planned in advance so that food can be prepared, allocated and handed over in an orderly setting.
For food packs, each household is given a collection time at a mobile food bank. The pack contains essential staple items for household cooking. The £25 route is costed to help feed a family of six for one month.
Cooked-meal distributions answer a different need. The £10, £50 and £100 routes support 10, 50 and 100 cooked meals respectively. The donation page keeps each option attached to the Food Poverty Pakistan programme.
A family food pack and a cooked meal are not the same delivery route. The pack supports household cooking across the month, while prepared meals can be handed out through a scheduled distribution. The amount selected on the donation page tells AKF which form of food support the donor chose.
Delivery is documented with reporting and available photo and video evidence. This helps AKF record what was distributed and show supporters how the programme was delivered.
Household details are handled through the local distribution process. This page does not identify a beneficiary or promise a pack to a named family. It explains the published cost and the programme through which the support is delivered.
Why monthly food support matters
Food poverty is not limited to a single day. When household income does not cover essential food, parents face the same gap week after week. A monthly food pack gives the household staple ingredients it can use across a longer period.
The programme has operated through Mobile Food Banks in Punjab, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh. Local organisation helps food support reach households through a consistent process.
During Ramadan, the same programme can support food distributions for families facing hardship. AKF does not promise a fixed Ramadan delivery date on this page. Donations follow the active programme schedule and the confirmed local distribution plan.
A monthly donation can also help AKF plan repeated food support, but each payment remains attached to the selected programme. A donor who prefers to give once can use the same £25 family-pack option without setting up a recurring payment.
Zakat and Sadaqah eligibility
Our Food Poverty Pakistan programme is eligible for Zakat and Sadaqah donations. Admin capped at 10% for delivery, oversight and reporting.
