Clean Water Programme
Four practical water projects. One promise to deliver lasting access.
Clean water changes the rhythm of daily life. It reduces preventable illness, gives families time back and helps children stay in school. It is also one of the clearest forms of continuing charity because the benefit can reach a whole community every day for years.
I want AKF supporters to be able to choose a defined project, understand the full cost and see the evidence when it is complete. Our Clean Water programme brings together four current projects across Pakistan, Uganda and Sub-Saharan Africa.
Amir Khan, Founder
In many rural and remote communities, families still rely on open wells, streams and other unsafe sources. Women and children can lose hours collecting water, while contaminated supply increases the risk of illness and keeps children away from school.
The right solution depends on the location. A bore pump can provide a reliable local source. A gravity-fed pipeline can carry protected highland water to a remote village. A solar water tower can supply clean water at community scale without relying on fuel or unstable electricity.
Your contribution is combined with other gifts until the full project cost is raised. The project moves into delivery once its full cost has been secured.
Pakistan
A deep bore and durable hand-operated pump positioned as a community access point. Designed to serve around 80-150 people daily.
Pakistan
A gravity-fed pipeline from a protected highland source to community distribution points. Designed to serve around 200-500 people.
Uganda
A deep bore and hand-operated pump for a rural community. Designed to serve around 80-150 people daily.
Sub-Saharan Africa
A solar-powered pump, 40,000-litre elevated tank and gravity-fed distribution system. Designed to serve around 5,000 people.
The project and community are confirmed against local need and technical conditions.
Contributions are held for the selected project until the full cost is raised.
The delivery team completes drilling, construction or installation.
The community receives the completed water point or system and local maintenance guidance.
AKF receives and shares completion evidence, including location details, photographs and a completion report.
We work through experienced delivery teams with local access, technical capability and community relationships. Every project is selected for need, practicality and long-term use.
This programme accepts Sadaqah. It is also suitable for Sadaqah Jariyah because it creates continuing benefit. These water projects are not offered as Zakat projects.
No family should have to rely on unsafe water. Choose the project you want to help fund and be part of a practical gift that can keep serving a community, day after day.
