What Sadaqah Jariyah means
Sadaqah Jariyah is voluntary charity intended to create an ongoing benefit. A water source can be used each day. A permanent home can continue protecting family life. Healthcare support can help keep care available to patients over time.
The Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, taught that when a person dies their deeds end except for three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for them. The report is recorded in Sahih Muslim 1631, Book 25, Hadith 20.
A person may give Sadaqah Jariyah for themselves or on behalf of someone who has died. The donation should still lead to a real, defined benefit. The project pages below explain the current cost and delivery route before a supporter gives.

AKF's clean-water projects accept Sadaqah and are suitable for Sadaqah Jariyah. They are not offered as Zakat projects. The Family Homes Afghanistan programme also accepts Sadaqah and is suitable for Sadaqah Jariyah, but is not offered as Zakat.
Healthcare Access Pakistan accepts Sadaqah donations and is not offered as a Zakat project. The Champion Centre is intended as a continuing-charity model, but it is still in development and is not currently open for donations.
Each live project moves according to its own funding and delivery conditions. This page does not promise a completion date. Read the programme page for the latest confirmed position before choosing a donation.
If giving on behalf of a parent or another person, use the same project route and keep the intention with the gift. The practical test remains simple: the donation must support the defined work, and the ongoing benefit comes from the project itself.
