How a site is selected
A proposed site is checked against local need and the technical conditions. The right solution depends on water availability, ground conditions, the number of people using the source and how it can be maintained locally.
A bore pump can be suitable where groundwater can provide a dependable source. A pipeline can move protected highland water to a settlement. A solar water tower can pump and store water at a larger scale without relying on fuel or an unstable electricity supply.
Contributions are held for the selected project until its full cost has been raised. The delivery team then completes the drilling, construction or installation and provides local maintenance guidance.
Supporters do not need to fund a complete installation. A smaller contribution is combined with other gifts allocated to the same project type. Someone who wants to fund a full project can choose the complete cost shown on the donation route. Both choices lead to the same defined programme rather than to an unspecified water fund.
The project location is confirmed through the delivery process. Giving in someone's name does not change the technical work or the way a community is selected. It records the supporter's intention while the installation remains based on need and local conditions.
Reporting after delivery
AKF receives completion evidence for a delivered project. This includes location details, photographs and a completion report. The purpose is to show what was installed and where the project was completed.
A water project can be given as Sadaqah Jariyah, including on behalf of someone who has died, because the intended benefit continues as people use the water source. No completion date is promised on this page because timing depends on full funding, site confirmation and local conditions.
Sadaqah eligibility
This programme accepts Sadaqah. It is also suitable for Sadaqah Jariyah because it creates continuing benefit. These water projects are not offered as Zakat projects.
