Amir Khan has met with Pakistani Prime Minister, Imran Khan, to discuss the future of boxing in the country, alongside the expansion of The Amir Khan Foundation within Pakistan.
In 2016, Amir Khan established The Amir Khan Boxing Academy in Islamabad in partnership with the Pakistan Sports Board to assist with the training of young, aspiring boxers.
During the meeting with PM Imran Khan and his Special Assistant, Zulfi Bukhari, Khan discussed the advancement of boxing within the country and the provision of social welfare to the underprivileged in the country through his foundation.
As a British Pakistani, his native country has always been at the forefront of Amir Khan’s philanthropic work. Khan’s dedication to his roots is prevalent in his dedication to give back to those less fortunate through emergency aid and long-term projects.
